QUOTES

“I have learned how to be a peacemaker and one day at my after school program, I taught others about peacemaking…I am trying to be a peacemaker everywhere I go.” -quote by Dynisha, a 2006 youth peacemaker.

ABOUT STRATEGIES AGAINST VIOLENCE EVERYWHERE

SAVE was founded by Ms. Les Wright and a collaborative group of community leaders that desired to create an organization in central Ohio to focus on the issue of violence.  SAVE’s first program targeted parents, teaching them how to develop their children’s critical thinking skills concerning the media.  In 1997, SAVE began a program to honor youth peacemakers in central Ohio called the SAVE Awards Youth Peacemakers Training Program.
