Retailer Makes it Easy to Give Back

Seattle-based retailer Affirmagy makes it very easy for customers to make a difference and give to someone in need. The company built a donation option into their e-commerce system so giving is as easy as clicking a button.

Company calls this feature “Pay It Forward”, in reference to the popular concept and movie.

“Pay It Forward” allows customers to directly donate a gift to a woman recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. By clicking a button, customers can donate an Affirmagy “Courage” blanket and an inspirational book to a woman just diagnosed.

“Pay It Forward” launched in October 2007, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. The program has been so popular that the company plans to make it a permanent part of the online store.
