Goss provides safe environments for horse and nurse mare foal rehabilitation, while carefully selecting adoptive homes that are appropriate for each horse’s individual needs and abilities.  She has saved over 1,500 horses during her 19 years of operation in the Appalachian area, never turning away any horse in need.  The Last Chance Corral and Goss have been recognized and honored for their work, and have received several awards, including the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) Humane Award in recognition of humane efforts on behalf of animals and exceptional compassion for animal welfare.
