Author says there are more than 160 Commandments in the Bible.

New Christian Book Boasts 50 Commandments You Might Not Be Following, You Might Not Even Know They Exist. But the Author says there are more than 160 in total.

The new Christian book Live Man Walking by H.C. DeBoard III is definitely turning a few heads. The subtitle the author chose - 50 Commandments You Might Not Be Following, You Might Not Even Know They Exist - is really getting people from all walks of life and beliefs to take a second look.

"As a child, I was always taught that there were THE 10 COMMANDMENTS and they were the end all be all. But as it turns out, there are a lot more." said DeBoard.

Throughout the New Testament, there are actually more than 160 commandments or behavioral directives to guide those who call themselves Christians through our daily lives. People will be shocked at some of the commandments.

"If all Christians would simply work hard to follow them (commandments) every day, Christians would not get such a bad rep in life." DeBoard continued. "I mean, in my experience, where Christians get into trouble is when they start to judge others, gossiping about others, not treating others as they want to be treated, lashing out in revengeful attitudes and more. Jesus is very clear about how we should strive to behave. He actually said, if you call yourself a Christian and do not follow my commandments, you are a liar. Those are pretty strong words that we all should pay attention to."

This book is an easy read but will definitely put your life into perspective regarding your faith.
