The Society for Design Administration has announced that Art4orm, a Portland strategic design and visual communications agency, sponsored of the Portland Chapter’s recent “canstruction” event.
canstruction is held in over 100 cities throughout the country and features members of the local design and construction community participating in an original building competition that has teams competing against one another to build creative and artistic structures made entirely out of canned food cans.
The event benefited the Oregon Food Bank and the canned food used in the competition, along with monetary donations, goes towards OFB’s fight against hunger in the community.
At the competition’s end, canstruction generated 40,569 pounds of food (30,721 pounds were used in the competition) and $10,660.41 in monetary donations for the cause.
“Art4orm was honored to participate as a sponsor of this year’s “canstruction” event and proud to be part of such a worthy cause,” said Kevin York, principal and creative director of Art4orm.
