LEADING WEST COAST INTERIOR DESIGNER NAMED ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR
The Portland Business Journal announced Thursday thatJennifer Adams, Founder and President of the Jennifer Adams Design Group, has been named “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the publication’s annual Orchid Awards, which celebrates the Portland-area women and their achievements in business.

The Portland Business Journal announced Thursday thatJennifer Adams, Founder and President of the Jennifer Adams Design Group, has been named “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the publication’s annual Orchid Awards, which celebrates the Portland-area women and their achievements in business.
The Orchid Awards, held annually, recognizes 25 prominent Portland-area business women. From the list of 25, four are singled out for their achievements in different business sectors: large business, small business, non-profit and entrepreneur - which Adams was selected for.
The award ceremony was held Thursday at the Oregon Convention Center. Adams, along with winners from the three other categories, was selected to speak on a panel monitored by Brenda Braxton of KGW, Portland’s NBC affiliate.
“2008 is shaping up to be the ‘Year of Jennifer’, winning both our Forty Under 40 Award and taking our Woman Entrepreneur of the Year for 2008. She is clearly becoming a force in regional business,” said Craig Wessel, publisher of the Portland Business Journal.
Jennifer Adams founded the Jennifer Adams Design Group in January of 1998 and is now recognized as one of the premier interior designers on the west coast. Her firm specializes in high-end residential and commercial design and employs more than ten designers and design assistants. In addition to the flagship Portland office, the firm opened a second office in Del Mar California, near San Diego in spring of 2007.
In addition to being recognized as one of the west coast’s top designers, Adams is a well-known television personality. Jennifer serves as the design expert on the nationally syndicated television program, “BETTER,” which is currently seen in 24 national markets - including Portland where it is No.1 in its time slot. In addition, Jennifer has also been featured on Home and Garden Television’s (HGTV) “My First Place” as a lead designer.
